Mr. Tarek Shalabi
Board Secretary & Regional Head of Regulation compliance
Mr. Tarek Shalabi serves as the Secretary of the Board and Regional Head of Regulation Compliance at Trolley, a role he has held since 2023.
With more than eleven years of experience as a legal advisor and compliance professional, he oversees governance frameworks, regulatory adherence, and board administration, ensuring the Company operates in full alignment with the highest standards of corporate governance and the Capital Markets Authority (CMA) requirements.
Before joining Trolley, Mr. Shalabi spent nearly a decade at ACICO Industries Company K.S.C.P. as Assistant Manager of Regulation Compliance and Board Secretary, where he led compliance programs, developed regulatory reporting structures, and supported board committees in line with Kuwait’s governance codes. In parallel, he served as Regulation Compliance In-Charge at Al Masaken International Company K.S.C.P., strengthening compliance oversight across multiple entities.
His qualifications include ICA International Compliance Advanced from the University of Manchester, the Certified Corporate Governance Officer designation from the London School of Business and Finance and certification as an Internal Control Officer from the Egyptian Financial Supervisory Authority.
Mr. Shalabi is certified by the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment. He holds an Executive Leadership certificate from the University of Oxford (CISI) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from the University of Alexandria.
